Use the Firefox address bar to do your searching

Thanks to Chrome and then Safari its now just habit to search from the address bar so here is how to enable it in Firefox.

  1. Type about:config in the address bar and promise to be carful
  2. Set browser.fixup.alternate.enabled to false
  3. Set keyword.enabled to true
  4. Set keyword.enabled to http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=

(change the .co.uk if you don't want your search results from old Blighty)

Have you seen that The Pirate Bay are to release a 'Pirate Browser' to beat censorship which is based on Firefox.
