Fridays Joke- Sometimes it DOES take a Rocket Scientist

WooHoo, it's Friday again and all seems good. My new mobile phone, the Nokia N95 has just turned up with it's GPS built it and they already have a plugin available so I can use it with iSync(another way Mac has made my life easier). Also this weekend my friend is getting married, if you remember I'm the best man and public speaking isn't one of my forte's. Believe it or not I can be quite a reserved guy ... until I hit the vodka that is :o) Well I better go and do some work, rehearse the speech, and learn how to use a Nokia again after my last 4 phones being Sony's. Have a good weekend!

Scientists at Rolls Royce built a gun specifically to launch dead chickens at the windshields of airliners and military jets all travelling at maximum velocity. The idea is to simulate the frequent incidents of collisions with airborne fowl to test the strength of the windshields.

American engineers heard about the gun and were eager to test it on the windshields of their new high speed trains. Arrangements were made, and a gun was sent to the American engineers.

When the gun was fired, the engineers stood shocked as the chicken hurled out of the barrel, crashed into the shatterproof shield, smashed it to smithereens, blasted through the control console, snapped the engineer's back-rest in two and embedded itself in the back wall of the cabin like an arrow shot from a bow.

The horrified Yanks sent Rolls Royce the disastrous results of the experiment, along with the designs of the windshield and begged the British scientists for suggestions.

Rolls Royce responded with the following one-line memo:

"Defrost the chickens."

Note: I've been told this is a true story (I doubt it!) anyone know different
