ZDnet is reporting that Apache is going to create, from scratch, an open source implementation of J2SE, and has Sun's approval to do soThe implementation which is (at the moment) welcomed by Sun, might even have Sun helping them out. Though don't get too excited analysts are expecting it to take 3-5 years
